This person will conduct compliance reviews and make recommendations to ensure compliance, while remaining sensitive to key issues such as cost effectiveness, safety and soundness, and proper maintenance of each client’s internal controls. Your understanding of lending regulations, coupled with superior communication skills, prepares you for success in this important position.
The Lending Compliance Specialist assists the Company’s clients in achieving conformance with governmental regulations. This is accomplished through implementation of a Compliance Program and performance of the primary duties and responsibilities set out below. The Compliance Specialist works under the supervision of the Mortgage Program Manager and as a support and resource to the Compliance Consultants and Compliance Director. This includes, but is not limited to the analysis, reporting documentation, auditing, monitoring, and investigation of regulatory matters for the Company’s clients. This position will also conduct regular periodic compliance reviews to ensure the activities of the Company’s clients are compliant with applicable laws and regulations and with the client’s policies and procedures. The Compliance Specialist will identify and document any compliance issues and recommend plans for improvement.
One to two years post high-school education in business or equivalent work or education related experience required.
Minimum of 1-3 years of compliance, mortgage lending, loan review, underwriting, processing or general credit union experience.
3+ years of compliance, mortgage lending loan review with an emphasis related to regulatory or compliance issues desirable.
