Are you an IT professional who enjoys working with end-users and analysts to design, develop, test and implement innovative application solutions?  Are you an experienced computer programmer?  Here is an exciting opportunity to join the Application Development Team creating solutions for the financial services industry.  We are looking for a technically skilled developer, with weighted consideration toward Financial Services core system development.  This person needs to be a customer focused, team-oriented, dynamic, and experienced technical leader interested in contributing their knowledge to our development and innovation initiatives. 

The position contributes to WSECU success by working with internal customers and analysts to design, develop, test, implement and maintain complex technology solutions.  The successful candidate will also work with key vendors or partners to achieve these goals.  Provides application architecture design and development to the suite of products used by WSECU including:  the core processing system (Symitar) using PowerOn Scripting and web-based applications using .NET, and the emerging mobile development environment.  Responsible for building web services for software integration and external application interface development involving third party platforms.

Skills / Requirements

Required Qualifications:  Bachelor of Science in Computer Programming, Science or Engineering. Related experience may be substituted, year for year, in one or more of the following disciplines; Object oriented programming, .Net Framework (C#, VB .Net), ASP.Net (SilverLight,Entity Framework) MS SQL Server, Symitar Power On (Scripting).  7-10 years programming is both .Net and PowerOn (Repgen).  Deep understanding of Object Oriented programming in SOA.  At least 4 years working in a financial services environment. Ability to communicate with a variety of audiences and understanding how to effectively engage with customers and stakeholders through development process, proven ability to develop positive relationships with team members and customers.  Organizational and project management skills aimed toward successful outcomes. The ability to research problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Must be current on technology trends and provide a clear direction for the Credit Union to meet its strategic initiatives in technology areas.

Preferred Qualifications:  Understanding of software development lifecycle phases.  Experience in mobile development highly desired.  Report Generator certification.  Computer training and MCSD certification.  Specific Banking or Credit Union systems, applications or business area knowledge and systems analysis and design.

HOURS:  Monday – Friday, minimum 40 hours a week.  Scheduling flexibility is required for this exempt level position.
