Job Description

As the Loan Participation Analyst, you’re an effective communicator at all levels, with a desire to serve, but you’re also highly technical. In this role, you’ll be responsible for acting as the liaison between WSECU and participating financial institutions, while managing the activity of participated loans. You’ll review and facilitate the purchase and/or selling of loans and act as a subject matter expert on participation loans, as well as all complex loan servicing, including booking/funding, documentation, and credit. You’ll also provide research and analysis on various topics related to the Lending Division, performing ad-hoc data research and analysis and providing summaries of results for non-technical business users.


Your day may include:


  • Coordinating and delivering reconciliation reports to participants and WSECU personnel
  • Organizing due diligence materials for WSECU for purchasing and selling participation pools
  • Funding new participation pools
  • Reviewing participation processes and offer improvements
  • Reviewing collection processes and providing enhancement requests in order to meet our investor’s requirements
  • Providing feedback to participants on performance of pool
  • Answering questions related to collection efforts
  • Representing lending in Loan Participation meetings and dialogues
  • End-to-end report development; designing and developing reports using MS SQL, Advanced Reporting for Credit Unions (ARCU), Akcelerant and other Business Intelligence reporting tools such as Tableau
  • Improving and streamlining processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, viability, and value
  • Providing research and analysis on various topics related to the Consumer Lending Division
  • Rolling with change in a dynamic atmosphere
  • Volunteering with your team in the community



What you bring to the team:


  • Two (2) or more years of experience with data analysis
  • Requires broad knowledge and practical experience with credit union or financial institution lending operating areas, functions, products and services
  • Three (3) or more years of recent customer service experience
  • One (1) or more years of experience in capturing business, functional and non-functional requirements and analysis
  • Experience developing SQL queries to research, analyze, and troubleshoot data and to create business reports
  • Experience using Tableau or other Business Intelligence tools
  • Proficient in the entire Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to successfully communicate technical and industry specific concepts
  • Experience delivering written and oral presentations to audiences at all levels
  • Analytical decision making and problem-solving abilities
  • Uses good judgment and is able to work independently with highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to listen effectively to the needs of others & communicate in a positive manner

Bonus points if you have: 

  • Symitar, CUDL, Akcelerant, and LoansPQ Experience
  • One (1) year of financial institution experience
  • Two (2) years of Project management experience


Where it’s located: Olympia, Headquarters

When you’d work:  Monday–Friday, between the hours of 8:30 am–5:30 pm. Hours may vary based on needs of the department and flexible hours are necessary to meet service needs.
